Not cheap - but the Cadillac of Mexican food in an atmosphere to match. You feel like you own the ranch. And you'll love the service you receive.
Food was really good. Service was pretty average for a busy night. One order forgotten, waitress was busy with other tables, but that's understandable. It was fixed in short order. Advice, arrive early. They get busy quick, and for good reason.
Pretty good food. Chara beans are the best I've had! Decor is very cozy. All of the meat is way above average. Service is great sometimes and slow others, busy or not. They also do Margarita Wednesday for $3.50 a pop.
Great food it was really great rice and beans perfect. But they didn’t put enough meat in the steak tacos and the tortillas were a little hard. They did not provide napkins or forks so luckily we had chips to use to eat the rice and beans but still no napkins either. Though there salsa’s were great!
Went here on June 20th. I ordered a simple chicken and spinach quesadilla. The waitress asked if I wanted pico and I said yes. She brought the quesadilla out with no spinach or pico. On two of the slices the bottom part of the quesadilla was folded in half to where I had to take the top part off and place the chicken on the tortilla slice and then unfold what was the bottom part and put it back to together. I have been to the one in Denton and it was excellent but this was just terrible and I am not a person who wants to spend time going out and bashing the place.
Great food and better service. Our favorite Mexican food restaurant.
Food is 👍 good wait staff.clean atmosphere.
Great food great atmosphere great drinks. Not far from home
This restaurant used to be a great place to have Mexican food. However the last few times I have been here I never get service I wait 30 minutes just to get my check. Or they don’t bring my drink. It’s always something the last few times I’ve came here. And I could understand if they were busy but I’m sitting here with 2 people in the room and it’s been 30 minutes of me just waiting on my check so I can leave.. it’s RIDICULOUS! Meanwhile the staff are all talking having a good time but not one of them come to check on you. This location has changed from its roots. Once being great to now an utter failure.
Great food (brisket tacos- YUM!) And great service! Andy was our server and he was awesome! This was our 3rd time there and was wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Friendly staff and delicious food. We had the bacon wrapped shrimp, steamed vegetables, avocado salad, shrimp topped steak on poblano chili. Reasonable prices.
I want to thank all the staff for making my husband and I feel safe eating out during the corona pandemic. The care and how you make everyone feel welcome is not to go unnoticed.
Good environment with great service. Enjoyed the food and hospitality.
Great little spot for fajitas. Only negative was you get mostly grilled onions with Two small pieces of bell pepper. See photo.Don't order the Chicken Chimalichanga. It cost a lot but has about 1/4th chicken on the fajitas.
My second visit. Not really impressed. Had a cold unimpressive chile relleno
Good food and drinks. Their house Margarita used to be so sour. I guess they changed the sour ingredients or lessen it because the last time I went, it tastes better, less sour.
Good place, good food. However, the booths that face 287 are not comfortable as they are a very straight back, the 2 booths towards the patio ate better. The "hot" salsa is much better with flavor than the regular salsa. The queso is not that wonderful, actually tastes similar to the jar of Tostitos queso. Other than that, most items on the menu are spot on.The fajitas that have brisket, shrimp, beef and chicken is really good.9-8-19 UpdateToday the portions were all messed up. My wife and I ordered the same tacos, hers came out overflowing with steak, chicken. Bacon, shrimp and veggies. Mine had none, and 2 tacos had no veggies and one taco had a single piece of shrimp. So I asked for more meat, they said it will be a few minutes because it's all pretty packaged portions. LOLwell if it is pretty packaged portions how did these tacos become so anemic.
Good food and good service. Went for lunch on a Saturday.
This restaurant is new to the area as of 3/ 19. I strongly suggest you call ahead 30 minutes for a reservation or you will wait. Guacamole made fresh at your table. the food is pretty good all the chips and salsa you can eat nice atmosphere, very friendly and helpful wait staff, if your food isn't right tell them they'll fix it immediately. since its new everyone is still in training so expect a few hiccups. anything that you order that has meat in it is absolutely delicious their meat is is very well seasoned I will come back again.
nice people good food margaritas taste great peppers were hot beans were excellent chips were crisp salsa was mild and slightly bland but bland is better than fouled. I recommend it. just a bit on the expensive side but still a pleasant experience. Thank you Paola
Good place to eat. Less than I expected money wise. I had the Carne Asada and my wife had the 2 Tacos. Very classy place. The ambiance was great. A good place to stop and eat off of HWY 287. They also do birthdays (3 of them) which are usually a little bit annoying to me but they were short and sweet, didn't bother me at all. Under $30 (tip included) for us. I will definitely add this place to my favorites.
Food and service have gone downhill since they opened.
Great Grand chili relleno, excellent Mangoneada too!
It's about what you can expect from a restaurant in a Walmart parking lot. It's fine if you can't be bothered to drive elsewhere. The platillo Grande can feed even ambitious eaters, and the chips and salsa will keep coming, but things will occasionally be burnt and the flavor is nothing to write home for.
If there is a wait it is not too long. They make sure you get taken care of and you can eat on the patio and it’s super fun.
My husband and I come here a lot and the service is usually great. Today our service sucked. The waitress was nice but everything took forever. And the place wasn't even busy! I feel like if she concentrated more on her table than standing around chit chatting with a friend then everything would've been just fine. My family and I were there for over two hours and not because we were hanging out and socializing, but majority of the time waiting for our order or whatever we requested. We had to literally cut into her conversation with a friend to get her attention to get us our checks and boxes. We all left very annoyed. Other than that food was still pretty good.
Villa Grande is a wonderful Mexican food restaurant. Their food is delicious. They have incredible salsa (be sure to ask for their HOT salsa if you like spicy). My favorite is their Pollo Y Camarones (the Poblano cream sauce is amazing).
Love the food. Awesome TexMex.
Every since they reopened, service has been lacking! Last week I was the very first customer there. Took forever to be waited on and the food was not their usual standard! Went back yesterday, ordered water and was immediately ask to order but was never given a menu. Then it took another 15 for our order to be taken. Another 30 for us to receive it when a little boy comes with a broom and starts sweeping under our table as we were eating, sweeps right on top of my foot with a greasy broom that ruined a brand new pair of white shoes! When I ask him to wait till we done eating to sweep, he threw up his hands and began to argue with me! I had to go get a manager that FINALLY got him away from our table, still mouthing as he was forced away! I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN! Just ride and very unprofessional!!!!!!
I have been looking for a good Tex-Mex restaurant in the area and Villa Grande didn't disappoint me. I ordered the combo beef and chicken fajitas and they were delicious. The veggie mix was a little heavy on the onions, but the flavor was very good. The spice level was on the mild side but I really enjoyed the flavor over the hotness. The flan dessert was also very good. The portions were on the generous side and I enjoyed my overall experience. I will definitely consider making a second trip here.
Andrew was the best!! He was super friendly and very helpful when I couldn’t decide on a menu item. I absolutely love this restaurant!
Great server for our large group. Kept drinks, napkins, food coming quickly. Very nice.
Pretty good. Great service. Good food. Amazing experience while I was in town.
The bartender and Togo specialist was absolutely incredible. One in the same! He is awesome keeping up with the pace and making sure everyone is happy!
love The Chicken Fajitas. Thank you for staying open
Called in an order at 315 to pick up at 600. 630 they bring food out. I head home to discover they missed an entree and no chips for guacamole and queso. Back in parking lot waiting to get it fixed. I want to support local but not sure I’ll be back! It’s now 700pm and still have not been made whole!
Sampler appetizer was ok. Not my favorite. My wife had the steak covered with cheese and mushrooms. She let me try it and it was delicious but not what I would call "Mexican food". The salsa always has way too much onion for my taste.
The waiter was amazing! He was awesome with our 1 1/2 year old! He made sure when he sat our food down that our son couldn't reach it and also didn't try to take the menu from him while we waited on our food. The food was awesome and hot! The waiter also gave us a coupon for our next visit! Love this place!
This amazing gem has us hooked from the first order. We have only had it to go so I can't testify to their service in house, but I can say everything we've had has been fantastic. They have the best tortilla soup I've ever had and it's one of the things I order from all Mexican food restaurants. Their salsa is incredible, the Queso is excellent, and the guacamole is extremely fresh and delicious. Their chips compliment everything perfectly. We have had the Flautas, burritos, enchiladas and more without disappointment.I highly recommend Villa Grande if you are in the area or just passing through.
Delicious food and friendly service. Our only complaint tonight was the appetizer came to the table with our meal. They were kind enough to take it away and remove it from our bill.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Even when they're busy, they still take great care of our family with a smile.
We moved to the area six months ago and so it’s nice to find something reliably good so close. We have been here several times and every time we have thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We have gotten several different things, but most recently fell in love with their flaming grill...I can’t remember what they call it but it is fabulous. It is a meal for two that is basically a mixed fajita grill. It’s wonderful. Brought family here from out of town and they agreed. Also this place consistently serves the strongest drinks we’ve ever had. Seriously...you get your money’s worth here. Shrimp tacos are also really great. We definitely recommend.
I've been going to this place for years! Salsa is great. Ask for the spicy. It's served warm and is so so good. The food is spot on and good value for what you get. Brisket tacos are amazing.
This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in 20 miles of my house! They are very accommodating and the staff is super duper friendly!
Service is rushed and not gracious and warm. Food is okay. Typical run of the mill Mexican food.
Good food and drinks. Staff is a little slow
If you are looking for bland Tex Mex this is the place. Chips and salsa that is served with your meal is okay. After that there is nothing to brag about. Dried up chicken is what we got in the enchiladas we ordered and the oil that they flash fry the tortillas must have been old because there was a horrible bitter taste. It is sad to say that the Spanish rice that comes with the entree was better then the actual entree. I will have to give it sometime before wanting to try this place again.
Ordered beef enchilada plate tacos on side ask for chili and cheese on enchiladas so they gave me one with a little bit of cheese and one with a little bit of chili I asked for it mixed on both waitress tried to leave the table before I was even done ordering in a hurry the ground beef was good it was seasoned about right the enchiladas not what you expect from a Mexican restaurant beans were bland with a fishy taste selfish with their chips and salsa when it was time for me to order the waitress snatched the menus from the table next to me didn't even bother wiping them and the other tables children was sneezing all over the place poor service my tip reflected it she catered to the bigger group overall in my opinion very disappointing service very disappointing food this is my opinion and only my opinion I will not be back.
Beautiful decor on the inside, very reasonable priced, great bar. Very attentive and nice staff. Definitely one of the best restaurants in haslet
Loved the food and drinks.
